I’m kind of a spoiler.
I’m the literal worst when it comes to gift giving. Not picking them out, because that’s kind of my thing and I love it, but at keeping them under wraps until it’s time for them to be unwrapped. The moment I have them in my possession some demonic spoiler force takes over and whispers in my ear over and over, “Tell them. TELL THEM WHAT YOU JUST BOUGHT THEM. You must TELL THEM.” I try my best to ignore the voice, but most times it leads to a conversation such as this.
Me: (sing-songy voice) I got your birthday present today!!!!!!
Me: Yep. I sure did.
Me: You are going to LOVE it.
Them: *blink blink*
Me: It’s great. Wanna open it now? I mean, I know it’s like two months early but … OH COME. UGH. PARTY POOPER!
Luckily, the receiver is usually an adult and tells me to scoot, scoot, and run along now.
This is my long-winded way of telling you I’m about to share a couple more sneak peeks from Bernadette the Brave.
My illustrator Bill could sense that I was starting to break, so out of the blue he sent me a few pages with my text removed. He is definitely a good fit for me.
The book is moving along so quickly! I’m busy getting the website ready, and other odds and ends that I am not so good at but slowly figuring out. I should have a solid pre-sale date to share really soon – – along with the special things that come along with said pre-sale.
Bea is doing fantastic and is quite possibly the cutest little nugget I’ve ever laid eyes on, with personality to boot.
Beau has been coming, too, though not as often.
This week, Bill reached my son’s debut in the book. Luca thought it was the coolest and I cried because hi I’m a mom.
Take a look.
You know you want to.
FOR THE LOVE OF GOD PLEASE LOOK THIS IS KILLING ME I CAN’T KEEP IT IN ANY LONGER.
As always, thanks for the incredible amount of support you’ve all given me. I don’t know what I did to deserve friends like you, but I’m more grateful than you know to have you in my life and along for this journey.
